Moving forward to Sri Kampar ~

This time we went to Sri Kampar Secondary School ~ Our target students for this trip is Form 6 Students. Thanks for Headmaster and Discipline Teacher help us out to arrange those Form 6 Students to meet with us.

 We start our presentation and explanation around 8am to the students after they had settle down themselves in canteen. There are around 100+ of them attended this talk. Our purpose is to explain what is our campaign all about and invited them to join our event.

 When they are explaining, those students do pay attention on them, this is great !

 Around 30+ minutes later we've done our presentation. We make it short, simple and easy to understand about out event. Because they still need to attend for their classes, so we don't take too much time from them.

Before we leave Sri Kampar Secondary School, let's take a picture with those teachers and students together with our Mascot.We are so happy this trip because many of the students are interested on our event and we've giving out more than 50 forms out that day ! Hope that more and more people will be join for our event.

Poi Lam - 14th january

We've visited Poi Lam Independent School on 14th January 2012.
This is the 1st school we done our publicity. Almost 20+ of our group members join this time publicity.
Woke up at 10am and start our journey at 10.30am.
Our presentation start on 11.00pm sharp !

We took around 30+ minutes to reach Poi Lam.

 Once we reach, all the Poi Lam students were sitting inside all hall waiting for us. We feel a little embarrass because we should reach earlier than 7.30am. It's okay, without wasting time just start our presentation..
 Almost 1000++ of them inside the hall.

 Can feel the nervousness from both of them. This is our very 1st experience and they need to face 1000+ students in the hall.

Transforming Life Event !


Guys !!! 4th of March our PR Campaign event will be held on Dataran Bandaraya in Ipoh !
The time will be start from 7.00am - 7.30pm,  more than 12 hours event will be held in Ipoh. This is one of the biggest event that organise by Utar Public Relations Year 3 students.

Indoor Event :
Before the Outdoor Event, We'll hold a launching carnival on 15th February 2012. Our main theme will be “Broadening Horizons, Transforming Lives” while the subtheme is “Transforming Lives, We Strive Forward”. . Our whole event will revolve around the aspects of environment, health, memories, and education for our participants.

This objective of the indoor carnival is to promote our outdoor event which is “Transforming Life”. This is to allow the students to be aware of the coming activities and attract the students to join the “Transforming Life” event. It purpose also serves the likes of promoting the UTAR 10 Years Anniversary which will be happening that year.   


To commemorate with the event, we will be having a launching activity for the official video and theme song which are all linked to the UTAR’s 10 Year Anniversary. Moreover, we are inviting the Alumni Department to let them have a session to promote the Alumni Dinner for those students are going to graduate.




Outdoor activity: Transforming Life
We will co-operate with National Kidney Foundation (NKF) in this ‘Transforming Life’ event. Most societies overlook the state of nephropathy’s patients in; therefore we have decided that the entire fund which we obtain from this campaign will be handed over to NKF. They will utilize the fund for kidney patients who need to undergo proper kidney dialysis procedure. 

Target audience: 
Our target audience can be divided into main and secondary target audiences.
§     Main – students ,lecturers, staffs and graduated student from Perak campus, students and graduated students from Klang Valley
§        Secondary – students from secondary school in Ipoh and public
We target around 1000 participants to participate in this campaign.
          i.            450 people from UTAR,  Kampar (included lecturers, staff, and students)
2      ii.           550 people from UTAR Klang Valley, publics, students from secondary school in Ipoh, and alumni
For the students from secondary school, we will invite 9 independent secondary schools’ students and 1 international school’s students in Ipoh. We are aiming to create awareness not only among UTAR-ians but also among secondary school students.

Prizes: 
2 types of prizes will be prepared in this event which are ‘The Most Active School’ and ‘The Best Performance’. The prize of ‘The Most Active School’ is for the secondary schools in hope that we can encourage more secondary school students to participate in the event. We will have 2 prizes for ‘The Best Performance’, which is for UTAR society and also secondary school students. The winners of the event will be awarded with trophy and hamper. Lucky draw prizes will be prepared as well. Lucky draw will be draw out by the VIPS during the closing ceremony. We aim to prepare 20 prizes and it includes 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes, others 17 prizes consider as consolation prizes.

Fees:
The fee will be RM 15 for each participant in order to take part in this campaign. T-shirt will be given to all the participants. The participants who attend on that day will receive a non-woven bag which contains food and drink, button badge or key chain. Since there will be booths set up we will open these booths up for rent to those who wants to sell their products during the event. We will be renting out each booth at RM300 and we will be collecting 10-15% of their profits on that day in order to raise the funds needed for National Kidney Foundation. We will roughly gain RM 5, 200 from this. We estimate that their profit is around RM 100 each.
